Art Workshops at the Lake - Suzanne Northcott - Life Drawing and Painting
June 22, 23, 24 & 25 (4 days)
Suzanne will guide you through the challenging and intriguing world of representing the human form. The days will be divided between time working from the live model and time exploring ways of bringing your drawings forward into completed paintings. Students are invited to work in any medium, but demos will be in acrylic and drawing media. The emphasis will be on learning to see, as well as learning to trust your intuition. Suzanne’s passion for this subject, depth of knowledge and one-on-one instruction style will help you develop your own language for drawing and painting the figure.
The Whistler Art Workshops on the Lake features two to four day workshops from beginner to intermediate level instruction in oil, acrylic and watercolour painting, sketching and life drawing. The program is inspired by the beautiful mountain environment of Whistler and Alta Lake Station House, the rustic heritage home located on Alta Lake waterfront with views of Whistler, Blackcomb and Wedge Mountain.
Alta Lake Station House is not accessible by car. Participants will walk five minutes down a path to arrive at this serene lakeside setting.
