Free to participate, bring money to spend at the open farms on food, arts and crafts and refreshment, including award winning Schramm Vodka from the Pemberton Distillery. Sea to Sky's signature agritourism event, Slow Food Cycle Sunday Pemberton blows the fast-food drive-through away. A pedal-powered trip through the natural buffet that is Pemberton Meadows farmland, to meet local growers and sample produce fresh from the field, Slow Food Cycle is:
- Good for your carbon credits
- Flat and scenic and ride-able for all ages and levels of fitness
- A sensory smorgasboard
The World Watch Institute reports that the average food item eaten in North America has traveled 2500-4000 km from farm table. The distance between good food and your table is as short as a 26km bike ride.
Saturday August 14
Slow Food Cycle Sunday Fundraising Dinner: Join Chefs James Walt (Araxi) and Grant Cousar (Whistler Cooks) for a sumptuous dinner at the Van Loon's farm. Open air dining at its finest! $125 per person includes food and wine; information at 604-894-6477 or info@pembertonchamber.com.
Two Acre Shaker: Local grass roots music in Pemberton. More details as we get them from the organizers.

Sunday August 15
Slow Food Cycle Sunday Registration: Open at 8:30, located in downtown Pemberton. Sign in and get all your ride information, map and swag. Tools available for minor bike repair and snacks to get you started.
Pancake Breakfast: Hosted at Lillooet River Lodge in Pemberton, enjoy a German potato pancake breakfast to get you fueled up for the ride. Starts at 8am, runs until they are out. Call to book or drop by on your way up, they are only minutes by bike from the route. 604-966-8246.
Salmon BBQ dinner: Enjoy a Salmon BBQ after the ride at the Pemberton Valley Vineyard. Reservations are suggested; call 604-894-5857
AugustFest: Swing by Pioneer Park after the ride to celebrate AugustFest from 3pm-7pm. This Bavarian-inspired beer garden is a benefit for the Pemberton Community Kitchen, an initiative of the Pemberton Rotary Club, Friends of the Library and Pemberton Lions.
