Comedy Weekend in support of Whistler Arts Council

Players Chophouse’s Whistler Improv Comedy Night is back on Friday, September 3rd in Creekside. Comedic super-star Roman Danylo returns with special guest Ellie Harvie. These farcical geniuses are banding together to help raise resources and awareness in support of the Whistler Arts Council. Doors are open at 5pm for dinner seatings and the show is at 9pm.

So far, the three Players Chophouse Comedy Nights have helped bring tremendous funding relief to the Whistler Arts Council. The funds raised have been put toward execution of and artist fees for Whistler Children’s Art Festival, ArtWalk and Whistler Art Workshops on the Lake.

The Whistler Improv Comedy Nights! charity performance is a collaborative effort between the Players Chophouse Ownership and the Whistler Arts Council to keep these integral and community enriching programs vibrant. Roman Danylo brings various lively and hilarious takes on a range of subjects from love, to war, to snacks at the mall food court. This spontaneous and engaging ‘Improv Jam’ is high energy, light-hearted and extremely edgy. Come for this rare occasion to enjoy a level of star power within an intimate and relaxed setting. Sit down to an exceptional dining experience and stay to partake in the comedic chaos.

Roman’s special guest for this event is Ellie Harvie. She is a multi award winning, Vancouver grown actress and comedienne. A graduate of the Vancouver Playhouse, she spent 10 years doing local theatre as well as becoming a beloved star of the Vancouver TheatreSports League and a regular in the Stand Up Comedy scene. She leapt to Television with the role of Morticia in Fox Family’s “The New Addams Family” series. Since then she has been in countless local television and film productions working with the likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Robin Williams, Kevin Nealon, Martin Short, Adam Sandler, Jim Belushi and Kim Basinger.
