Whistler Strong Start Program Parent-Tot Drop In Whistler Every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursdays throughout the school year. 11am - 12pm. Parent-Tot Drop-In is a play group offering activities for parents and their children under 6 years of age. The program provides social interaction, emotional support, parent education and role modelling. Parent and Tot Exploration Gym Passtime is running Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at 10:00 am. Ages 18 months to 5 years one parent/caregiver per child .Supervised non-instructional time to explore gym stations. Passes (1 time, 5 time or 10 time) sold Front Desk of Oros. Moving Mountains 30% limited subsidy is available for the fall session. Located in the Whistler Sports Legacy High Performance Athlete Centre, Cheakamus Way. Parent-Infant Drop In 11:00 am. Whistler Library. Parent-Infant Drop-In provides an opportunity to develop a supportive social network with other parents of young babies. This program meets every Tuesday. It is an on-going, free program and registration is not required. Twice a month, guest speakers will present parenting information on a variety of topics. A public health nurse attends each session, and can answer questions regarding sleep habits, nursing, and anything else having to do with baby care. This program is sponsored by Whistler Community Services Society, Vancouver Coastal Health, and the Whistler Public Library. A program is for parents of babies from birth to walking age. This program will be run on Tuesdays from 3:30 - 4:00 pm until the end of June. It is designed for pre-school children. This program is free and registration is not required. This program focuses on stories for preschool children with songs, rhymes, finger plays and some active rhythms. Whistler Youth Centre Whistler teens aged 13-18 can enjoy the skate ramp, pool table, ping pong table, computer and more every Wednesday and Thursday night 3:30 - 8:00 pm at the Whistler Youth Centre in the lower floor of Millennium Place. Spring Creek )pen Gym. Do your little tykes need to burn off some energy? Spring Creek Open Gym is now running on Wednesdays at Spring Creek Community School from 3-5 pm. Cost is $2 per child (over 6 months). Children have a big space to run off some steam with toddler cars, parachute games, mini basketball, hoola hoops, bowling & more! 3:00 pm. This program gives children, parents and caregivers the opportunity to learn songs, rhymes and finger plays together. This program meets every Thursday at 4:00 pm and is an on-going, free program and registration is not required.Oral language development is promoted in this verbal program of songs and rhymes. This enjoyable method of learning language will help foster a rich vocabulary and early literacy. Bring your toddler and let’s have fun! Core Kids Yeti Land Day Camp (ages 3-8) Saturdays and Sundays 8:00 am - 12:00 pm. This 4 hour camp at The Core is all about fun for the young (and time for the parents!). Kids will be entertained with games and adventures in our Yeti Land and can have the opportunity to test the heights on our climbing wall! Morning Camp at the Core. Includes: Quality child care, climbing, adventure games, arts and crafts centre, books and snack. Cost: $60 per child. www.whistlercore.com Craft and Play @ The Core The Core is offering Craft and Play on Sunday afternoons from 3 pm until 5 pm. This program is geared for children aged 4 to 10 years old. The afternoon will begin with a pre-planned project, and once the craft is completed, the children will be able to run around and play in the Core Kids play zone.
